Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of studies associated with the gastroenterology and hepatology tissue bank portfolio. This will involve working closely with staff to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and the effective day-to-day management of the tissue bank.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced tissue bank officer to take on the coordinator/project lead role within our Royal Devon Tissue Bank. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage studies associated with the gastroenterology and hepatology tissue bank portfolio
  • Oversee the work of staff working on the EH&IBD portfolio
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the Royal Devon Tissue Bank

Requirements

  • Varied Band 6 experience or an experienced Band 5 looking to step up
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to work on their own initiative
  • Dynamic and experienced tissue bank officer with excellent organizational skills
