Blackfield Associates is partnering with a prominent international biotech company, which has seen significant growth in its services.

The role of Technical Field Service Specialist exists to cover the Dartford and London region on a permanent basis.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Traveling to customer sites to identify and rectify any reported equipment faults, adhering to response-time guidelines outlined within service agreements
  • Completing all preventative maintenance work on Immunoassay analyser equipment or laboratory equipment
  • Performing necessary upgrades to maintain instrument performance, safety, and reliability within defined deadlines
  • Providing first-level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments
  • Supporting the interfacing of instruments to laboratory computer systems

To be considered for the role of Technical Field Service Specialist, you will have the following experience:

  • A minimum of two years of experience as a field-based service engineer in a clinical, medical, or laboratory environment
  • Essential experience working with Immunoassay/Molecular Diagnostic/biomedical equipment
  • Demonstrable technical aptitude for working with Liquid handling/robotic laboratory equipment
  • Possibly considered: complex electro-mechanical equipment gained in a highly regulated industry would be viewed favorably
  • A valid driving license is required
  • The ideal candidate will be located in Dartford or south of the river, within one hour's travel time from Dartford

This is a full-time position with no ability to sponsor. We are seeking ASAP starters.

We estimate that the salary for this role is approximately £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
