Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at KPJ Group, a leading manufacturer in the UK.

This role involves maintaining and repairing production and site service assets to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support to production teams across various operations
  • Maintain and repair production and site service assets
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs
  • Fault diagnosis on automated systems
  • Record maintenance and quality data accurately
  • Collaborate with shift managers, process engineers, quality team, and production operators
  • Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis
  • Participate in planned maintenance schedules and contribute to efficiency improvements
  • Perform line changeover activities and support SMED programs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • Mentor engineering apprentices and support new product and capital projects
  • Operate production assets when needed to cover for production personnel
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled with strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Experience in the food FMCG or equivalent process industry
  • A recognised electrical qualification
  • Knowledge of lean methods and tools
  • The ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Strong IT skills
