Child and Adolescent Occupational Therapist with Autism Spectrum Disorder Focus

About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS team, providing specialist support to children and young people with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. As a member of our team, you will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide interventions to help patients achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Occupational Therapy, with expertise in working with children and young people who present with complex needs. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including assessments, interventions, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and young people's needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy interventions, focusing on improving daily living skills, functional abilities, and overall quality of life
- Maintain accurate records, participating in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of care
Requirements and Benefits
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
- Registration with the Health Professions Council
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective care plans, resulting in improved patient outcomes
