We're seeking a talented Chef to join our team at Chartwells, the leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that meets our clients' and customers' expectations
  • Overseeing and implementing menu changes to ensure our food services remain exceptional
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our food services and implementing changes to enhance the customer experience
  • Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
  • Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts to keep our offerings fresh and exciting
  • Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked and ensuring we have the necessary ingredients to deliver exceptional food experiences
  • Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards and ensure a safe working environment
  • Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations to ensure the well-being of our clients, customers, and staff

Our Ideal Chef Will:

  • Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Have experience supervising a team and leading by example
  • Have experience in a similar Chef role and be familiar with our menu and food services
  • Hold a Food Hygiene certificate and be committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Have a flexible approach to working and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances
