Purchasing and Administration Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Administration Assistant to join our team at St Paul's Cathedral. As a key member of our Shop team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Plan, monitor, and maintain suitable inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Purchasing: Ensure products are purchased at the right time, to specification, and at a good price.
  • Reporting: Assist the Buyer with stock analysis and reporting, compiling reports on product performance and statistics.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Buyer, including managing and maintaining the eCommerce website and ensuring smooth operation for back-of-house activities.
Person Specification
  • Essential: Good skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. A good standard of numeracy, literacy, and commercial awareness.
  • Desirable: Experience in working in a busy retail environment, and undertaking purchasing activities. A good understanding of supply chain procedures.
