Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Virtual Ward Early Supported Discharge (ESD) team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a well-established community multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, goal-directed intervention, and rehabilitation to patients in the community setting.
The post offers excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as sound clinical knowledge. As a Static Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a defined caseload within your specialist area, using evidence-based/client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the outcomes of intervention where appropriate.
You will also be required to work efficiently and effectively with regard to clinical priorities and time management, ensuring that clinical records are kept to agreed standards and reporting accurately to others. Additionally, you will work in partnership with clients, carers, and stakeholders to identify relevant goals, provide leadership and supervision for junior staff as delegated by supervisor/team leader, and regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.
As a key member of the ESD team, you will participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in the Band 6 Development Programme and other developmental activities. We welcome applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about developing their leadership, management, and clinical skills.
We believe that our staff are our best asset, and we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Our values - Caring For Each Other, Working Together, and Always Improving - demonstrate our commitment to equality and diversity. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and want to make a positive impact in the community, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
In terms of salary, we offer a competitive package of £45,512 - £59,079 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive pension scheme. If you are interested in learning more about this role and how you can contribute to our team, please view the full job description and person specification attached to this advert.
