Mechanical Engineering Manager

Babcock International Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of engineers with varying levels of seniority/experience.

You will lead the delivery of work packages in accordance with the design process (Start-up, Concept, Scheme, Detailed, and Implementation phases) and manage the production, checking, and approval of technical documentation and drawings.

This role offers a competitive salary range of £62,000 - £76,000 per annum, based on location and experience, plus benefits, including a generous holiday allowance, matched contribution pension scheme, employee share scheme, and more.

About the Role:
  • Lead a team of engineers with varying levels of seniority/experience.
  • Deliver work packages in accordance with the design process (Start-up, Concept, Scheme, Detailed, and Implementation phases).
  • Manage the production, checking, and approval of technical documentation and drawings.
  • Lead engineering analyses, including calculations, component structural analysis, and system fluid flow analysis.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Professional membership as a Chartered Engineer with a relevant institution (or evidence of working towards this with demonstrable experience).
