We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repair Hub Shift Manager to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of our container repair operations.
Main Responsibilities:- Operational Health and Safety: Lead on operational health and safety, including the cascade of core safety information, and ensure that safe systems of work are followed.
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of container repair operatives to ensure work is delivered in the most cost-effective and productive manner to meet customer requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor, review, and report on performance against targets, and identify areas for improvement to create, initiate, and evaluate improvement plans.
- Quality Audits: Carry out quality audits to ensure maintenance standards are maintained and safety is adhered to at all times.
- Customer Liaison: Provide advice and guidance to customers, including escalation and issue resolutions for all operational issues during the shift.
- Key Holding: Perform key holding duties, including opening and securing the site as applicable.
- 3 years' experience in management of teams within a similar environment and scale.
- Experience of carrying out quality audits.
- Health & Safety Management training.
- Strong understanding of H&S requirements and ability to actively observe, review, and investigate safety behaviors.
- Experience as a key point of contact for the customer.
- Experience in monitoring and reviewing team performance, identifying learning points.
- Able to set and achieve targets within agreed deadlines.
- Experience of data analysis and reporting.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written.
