Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing our air freight product portfolio, ensuring efficient handling, transportation, and delivery of general cargo. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience in growing an air freight department, as well as expertise in pricing strategies and financial analysis related to logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Collaborate with operations teams to optimize supply chain processes, improve transit times, reduce costs, and enhance service reliability.
  • Product Development & Management: Develop and manage air freight products focused on general cargo, ensuring alignment with market demands and company objectives.
  • Pricing & Commercial Strategy: Develop pricing strategies that are competitive yet profitable, considering factors such as market conditions, cost structures, and customer value.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding air freight general cargo products, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all air freight operations comply with relevant local and international regulations, including customs, security, and environmental guidelines.
Requirements
  • Unrivalled leadership and man management ability with proven experience of growing an air freight department.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, specifically handling Air Freight.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies and financial analysis related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • CargoWise Proficiency: Familiarity with CargoWise software is advantageous.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to quickly adapt to new software systems.
