Research Fellow in Psychopharmacology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team in the field of psychopharmacology. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in clinical neuroscience and clinical trials of investigational medicinal products. The role will involve working on a groundbreaking clinical trial of an intervention for posttraumatic stress disorder called "Retrieval-dependent Nitrous Oxide Therapy" (R-NOT). The project aims to design and evaluate a novel pharmacological intervention in which patients with PTSD are administered nitrous oxide after a retrieval procedure designed to modify traumatic memories.
The Research Fellow will have the opportunity to shape the intervention from the earliest stages of its development. The post is full-time, initially for one year, with the possibility of funding for an additional three years. The Research Fellow will report to the Principal Investigator and will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary research team consisting of clinical trials specialists, PTSD experts, anaesthetists, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists.
About YouWe are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and technical and quantitative proficiency. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of efficiently working to tight deadlines and managing complex research projects. A strong interest in clinical neuroscience is essential, and a PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent substantial experience and a proven track record of successful project leadership, is required.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post, and appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD. If this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.
