Our client, a leading Energy and Commodity trading company, is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Middle Office Analyst to join their team in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an independent control to ensure the integrity of financial statements through preparation and verification of daily and monthly profit and loss statements, price verification, and valuation testing of trading inventory.
- Develop and maintain strong technical skills in coding languages such as Python, SQL, or VBA to support automation across the team.
- Perform profit and loss investigation, explanation, and reconciliation.
- Set up and test new products.
- Conduct risk control assessments and maintain risk control self-assessment (RCSA) documents.
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Mathematical Finance, Physics, or Engineering.
- Proficient in Excel, VBA, and Python, with experience in data analytics.
- Experience with commodities products and financial instruments, including valuations and modeling.
