About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Developer to join our team at Speechmatics, a leading expert in Speech Intelligence. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and deploy the latest techniques to disrupt the market.

Job Description

As an AI Developer, you will be responsible for advancing our automatic speech recognition (ASR) engines for Flow, our new Conversational AI companion. You will work with millions of hours of audio and billion-parameter models that train across dozens of GPUs. Your primary focus will be finding bottlenecks across 50+ languages.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to develop and implement large-scale self-supervised learning models.
  • Experiment with distillation or quantisation to speed up our models at runtime.
  • Compare compute efficiencies of architectures such as transformers and their impact on word error rate (WER).
  • Develop new, state-of-the-art AI features from training models to shipping them to production.
  • Advance end-to-end speech models and research new approaches to text-to-speech (TTS).
