About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Adviser to join our team at Gloucestershire County Council. As an Employment Adviser, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are recovering from drug and/or alcohol addiction to access employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice, guidance, and one-to-one support to individuals to help them achieve their employment goals.
  • Develop close links with partnerships, including other GCC teams, welfare to work providers, and employers, to increase skills base, knowledge, and opportunities available.
  • Work with local employers to match their needs to the abilities of individuals, promoting employment opportunities and supporting individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of local labour-market demographics, enabling effective matching of individuals to employment opportunities.
About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to develop close links with partnerships. Ideally, you will have knowledge of working with people who have barriers to accessing the labour market, employment policies, procedures, and welfare services.
