About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Officer to join our Special Care and Community Dental Service in Allerdale and Copeland. As a key member of our team, you will provide routine dental care to patients with specific requirements, using behavioural techniques, conscious sedation, or general anaesthesia if within your competencies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency and urgent care identified through the Dental Direct triage process
  • Liaise with social and other healthcare personnel and agencies to ensure effective management and delivery of care to patients with specific requirements
  • Deliver a domiciliary dental service to patients who require it
  • Work in various locations within the defined localities of Allerdale and Copeland

Requirements
  • Basic Life Support
  • Knowledge of the legislative framework governing oral health care in England
  • Ability to organise own workload and manage priorities
  • Expertise in a range of clinical dentistry
  • Good interpersonal skills with experience of working as part of a wider dental team
