We are seeking a skilled interpreter to work with our team at Language Empire, providing high-quality interpreting services to clients across the UK.
As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.
Our team provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors, and we are looking for someone who can help us deliver exceptional results.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English and another language, and have a strong understanding of the interpreting process.
Responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
- Ensuring the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
- Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Handling highly confidential information
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements include:
- Fluency in English and another language
- The right to work in the UK
- Aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
