Meridian Business Support is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children\u2019s Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our children\u2019s home in Derby. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for the young people in our care.
Main Responsibilities:
- To manage the daily running of the children\u2019s home(s) in line with company policy and regulatory requirements, supervising and providing guidance, support, direction, and leadership to staff.
- To model best practice approaches during challenging behaviors, ensuring there is coherent and consistent high levels of care.
- To register as a manager with OFSTED and work directly with and as part of the senior management team for the best interest of the young people, staff, and company.
- To be designated safeguarding lead.
Key Tasks:
- To ensure the policies, procedures, and frameworks that underpin the home are up to date and effectively implemented daily, representing best practice and reflective of the company\u2019s inclusion and culture.
- To establish and use methods to evaluate the quality of care provided by staff within the home and make improvements where necessary and encourage continuous improvement.
- To model the best practice approaches to working with and supporting children with challenging behaviors.
- To ensure a regular use of effective handovers and debriefs for staff.
- To participate in the placement of children and their transition process in and out of the home.
