Bevan Brittan: A Leader in Environmental Sustainability

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Bevan Brittan, a leading commercial law firm. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in driving our vision to be an environmentally sustainable business, making a positive contribution to reduce the impact of climate and ecological breakdown and to support the delivery of our Net Zero Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Environmental Sustainability Strategy: Progress our firm's Environmental Sustainability strategy, leading on the development of our Net Zero Plan (NZP) and collaborating with internal stakeholders to obtain relevant carbon usage data and develop NZP proposals.
  2. Lead on Net Zero Plan Development: Engage with external environmental consultants to develop our NZP, aligned with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
  3. Promote Environmental Sustainability: Collaborate with colleagues across the business to promote environmental sustainability, including via intranet news items and presenting at internal workshops.
  4. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Maintain current awareness of trends and opportunities that can inform the development of our strategy, including by networking with counterparts in other law and accountancy firms.
Requirements:
  1. Environmental Sustainability Expertise: Knowledge and experience of environmental sustainability management and frameworks, including ISO14001 and/or the initiation and/or development of a Net Zero Plan.
  2. Business Acumen: Good business acumen and commercial awareness, ideally with experience of working in a professional services environment.
  3. Analysis and Data Management: Proficient in analysis and data management.
  4. Flexible Approach: Able to demonstrate a flexible and can-do approach.
