Field Service Engineer Opportunity

Pyramid8 is collaborating with a leading Life Science business in Sheffield to find a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to transition from laboratory work to a field service engineer position or those with experience in the Life Sciences sector.

About the Role

The Field Service Engineer will provide technical support, software support, and operator training to customers, primarily through travel within the UK, with European and worldwide travel also expected.

This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting niche product lines and to develop a career in scientific field service work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and train customers on instruments and software
  2. Perform preventative maintenance and qualification
  3. Diagnose and repair systems
  4. Provide pre- and post-sales support
  5. Schedule and prioritize service jobs
  6. Communicate effectively with customers
  7. Assist with product demonstrations as needed
  8. Prepare and submit service reports to customers
Requirements

Essential

  1. Experience or knowledge of Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) or Liquid Scintillation Counting
  2. Full driving license
  3. Willingness to travel extensively
  4. Highly motivated and strong problem-solving abilities
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  6. Able to work independently
  7. Computer experience and proficiency

Desirable

  1. Relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical or Nuclear Medicine industries
  2. Experience working with radioactivity would be an advantage
