About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Community Support Worker to join our team in Welshpool, Powys. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who have experienced trauma in their early years.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct support to our young people, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development in a safe and nurturing environment. You will work closely with our management team to ensure the highest standards of care, guidance, and protection for our young people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering services to young people in accordance with our organization's aims
  • Assisting the management team in providing support and guidance to young people
  • Carrying out practical tasks as outlined on individual job lists
  • Recording and maintaining accurate records of young people's files
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met and reporting any concerns to line management
  • Completing mandatory and regulatory training as required
  • Organizing stimulating activities and experiences to engage poorly motivated young people

Requirements:

  • Full UK manual driver's licence and access to a vehicle is essential for transporting young people
  • Minimum age of 21 due to the needs of the young people
  • No previous experience is necessary, as full training and induction are provided
