About the Role

The Supported Lodgings Coordinator role is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of skill and expertise. As a key member of the DePaul team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the Supported Lodgings service, working closely with young people, hosts, and other stakeholders to provide a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the needs and risk of young people referred to the service, developing and implementing individualized support plans to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Work closely with hosts to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide a safe and supportive environment for young people.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including statutory teams, to ensure the service is meeting the needs of young people and hosts.
  • Conduct regular checks on host accommodation to ensure it meets the necessary standards and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with young people to prepare them for independent living, providing support and guidance to help them access longer-term, appropriate accommodation.
  • Proactively promote the Supported Lodgings service to potential hosts and referral partners, highlighting the benefits and value of the service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the needs of young people experiencing homelessness, as well as experience of working with vulnerable populations. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, hosts, and other stakeholders.
