School Mission Chaplain

Job Description
This role is responsible for providing spiritual guidance to the students, staff and parents of St James' Catholic High School.
The successful candidate will be a practising Catholic who can inspire and motivate others through their faith. They will work closely with the school leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive pastoral care programme that meets the needs of all members of the school community.
The Lay Chaplain will be responsible for leading worship and prayer services, conducting masses and other religious ceremonies, and providing support and guidance to students and staff on matters of faith and spirituality.
In addition, they will work with the school community to promote the values of the Catholic faith, including respect, kindness, and compassion. They will also work closely with other stakeholders, including parents and external agencies, to ensure that the spiritual needs of all members of the school community are met.
The salary for this role is £33,366 - £37,938 per annum (SO1 scale, points 23-28). This is a permanent, term-time only position with three inset days per year.
