About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Clinical Nurse Therapist to join our dedicated team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide mental health support in a challenging yet rewarding environment, utilizing specialist knowledge and interventions to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist knowledge and interventions for offenders within the PD pathway, utilizing high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions.
  • Hold a clinical case load and provide individual and group therapy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing review, development, and delivery of Mental Health training and education to other staff.
  • Liaise and consult with the Fens Services Consultant Psychiatrist, the NHFT Psychiatrist, the primary health care team, and secondary MH teams within the prison.

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Nurse/RMN or Learning Disability.
  • Specific therapeutic training, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Schema, Sensorimotor psychotherapy or other Psychological approaches.
Desirable
  • Post registration training in risk management tools/techniques.
  • Graduate at master's level or studying towards this level.
  • Relevant Management qualification.
Experience
  • Substantial post registration experience in senior nursing positions, to include significant leadership functions.
  • Experience of managing a nursing service.
Knowledge & Understanding
  • Theory and concepts associated with mental health and personality disorder and their application.
  • Knowledge of physical healthcare needs.
  • Awareness of safeguarding issues and responsibilities under relevant legislation.
