Exciting Opportunity for Building Physics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior or Intermediate Building Physics Engineer to join our team in London. Our client is a highly reputable building services design consultancy that delivers projects with maximum value for clients and minimal impact on the planet.

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of challenging projects in sectors including workplace, healthcare, education, culture and heritage, sport and leisure, sci-tech and residential. As a Building Physics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing sustainable and energy-efficient buildings, helping our client achieve Net Zero Carbon goals.

About You
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field with a focus on Building Physics, Energy Modelling, or Sustainable Design.
  2. Proven experience in design for performance and operational energy modelling using dynamic thermal modelling (IES Virtual Environment preferred), with experience working across various building types.
  3. In-depth knowledge of thermal comfort principles, heat transfer, fabric performance, and passive design strategies.
  4. Knowledge of building services and mechanical design is essential for this role.
  5. Knowledge of renewable energy systems and low-carbon technologies, as well as their integration into building designs.
  6. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and manipulate data to inform design decisions and optimise building performance.
  7. A solid understanding of UK building regulations industry standards and certification schemes (BREEAM, LEED, Passivhaus, NABERS).
  8. Proficient in Autodesk BIM/CAD software.
