Job Title: Building Physics Expert

A rare opportunity has arisen for a creative and driven individual to join our Sustainability Group at Hoare Lea as a Building Physics Expert.

This role is based in London and will be part of our broader Sustainability group which has a presence in every Hoare Lea office across the country.

We provide a diverse sustainability consultancy service promoting sustainable development for a range of projects, across all sectors.

Our Sustainability Group is an industry leader in its approach to sustainability design, construction, and building operation.

About the Role:
  • Play a crucial role in helping design energy-efficient buildings by delivering complex simulations.
  • Provide project leadership and support the operations of the team.

You will be expected to perform at a senior or principal level and be competent in most of the following fields:

  • Indoor CFD modelling for thermal comfort and design optimisation of mechanical ventilation systems.
  • Odour and chemical pollution dispersion analysis.
  • 3D modelling for simulations (ideally Rhino3D or SpaceClaim).

Competent in the use of DTM software packages such as IESve or TAS.

Excellent communication skills and able to convey complex building physics concepts effectively.

You will have a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering or a Science-related field and experience working within the built environment sector.
