About the Role

As a Market Development Associate with Intermediate Capital Group, you will play a key role in supporting the origination and execution of European fund investments in the UK & Ireland. This position requires strong financial modelling skills, business acumen, and the ability to synthesise information from various sources.

Responsibilities
  1. Transaction Support: Assist in undertaking financial and commercial analysis to support investment theses and address identified risks.
  2. Due Diligence: Help digest and shape findings from sell-side due diligence, particularly financial and commercial aspects.
  3. Buy-Side Due Diligence: Scope and drive targeted buy-side due diligence efforts.
  4. Transaction Execution: Drive workstreams that help complete transactions, including funds flow, tax structuring, and short-term cash flows.
  5. Value Creation: Help capture and assess value creation activities.
  6. Monitoring: Assist in monitoring monthly financial progress.
Origination
  • Target Identification: Help identify and research potential platform targets.
  • Opportunity Development: Actively think about and drive opportunities forward.
  • Due Diligence Expertise: Financial or commercial transaction due diligence, strategy consulting, investment banking backgrounds or foundations are expected.
  • Buy-Side Experience: Buy-side experience is advantageous, particularly from private debt, private equity, and growth-oriented asset management environments.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English is required, with other European language capabilities being an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency with Microsoft Excel is expected.
