About the Role:

As an Intervention Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning strategies that address the unique needs of each student. Your primary responsibility will be to provide targeted intervention support to students with SEND, helping them overcome academic and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted intervention support to students with SEND, helping them overcome academic and behavioural challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalized learning strategies that address the unique needs of each student.
  • Deliver small group and one-on-one sessions to reinforce learning and boost student confidence.
  • Drive around the community to deliver vital resources and information to families and bridge the gap between their children and educational facilities.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed to ensure continued improvement.
  • Support students in managing difficult behaviours, using de-escalation techniques and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs or children in care with a range of SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Must have access to a car and be willing to travel around the Bolton area as part of Outreach duties to families and outside bodies in Bolton.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to tailor interventions to meet the specific needs of individual students.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • A commitment to professional development and willingness to learn new strategies for supporting SEND students.
