Project Engineering Manager Nuclear

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to join our team in the nuclear sector. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects from bid to project execution and close out.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multidiscipline engineering teams to deliver assigned projects, ensuring effective delivery and realization of best achievable profit and schedule completion.
  • Develop and implement engineering delivery strategies, undertaking assurance activities to ensure a compliant and safe design and achievement of quality standards.
  • Act as technical lead in the production of bid proposals and tender responses, establishing engineering delivery strategies and scopes of work.
  • Ensure Client requirements are fully understood, and assumptions, exclusions and risks are clearly identified in bid proposals to provide a clear baseline for executing the engineering scope.
  • Support the operations of the engineering portfolio and identify continuous improvement opportunities through the robust challenge of processes and procedures to achieve Excellence in Engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or an engineering discipline relevant to the role.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the Machinery Directive, LOLER, PUWER, CDM and other applicable legislation, regulations and standards, and their associated application in the engineering design process.
  • Industry experience in either nuclear, materials handling or similar environment would be advantageous.
