About the Role

We are seeking a talented Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Bridges team, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from concept design to implementation for clients operating locally, nationally, or internationally.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the design of structures from inception to completion, undertaking the assessment of existing structures, and managing resources and tasks within a scheme of structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop bridge structures using industry-leading computer software
  • Assess and analyze existing bridge structures to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct finite elements analysis to ensure structural integrity
  • Perform on-site inspections and structural inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Develop and implement structures renewal feasibility studies
  • Supervise on-site works to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
Requirements
  • BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or above
  • MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be an advantage
  • Demonstrable interest in Bridge Structures Engineering and developing a career in this industry
  • Willing and able to work towards chartership with the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institute of Structural Engineers (ISructE)
  • Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing with the confidence to engage with a variety of people (clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors alike)
