About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Bot Kinetics Systems team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting innovative engineering solutions for our fleet of autonomous bots. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that our automation equipment is robust, reliable, and meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex electromechanical automation systems and machines for high-volume production and high reliability.
  • Collaborate with our engineering teams to ensure that our automation equipment is designed for manufacture in volumes up to 20K P/A.
  • Act as the mechanical design authority on multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring that all factors required for successful outcomes are considered.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including CAD drawings and design specifications.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing teams to ensure that our automation equipment is manufactured to the highest standards of quality.

About You

  • You have a good degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification with experience in designing complex electromechanical automation systems and machines.
  • You have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced, changing environment and are able to prioritize tasks and manage your own time autonomously.
  • You have a strong understanding of relevant technological developments and design methods, including CAD software and GD&T.
  • You are a team player who is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
