About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Professor to join our Cardiovascular and Exercise Sciences research community. The successful candidate will carry out research, teaching, and management within the school, faculty, and university, contributing to academic leadership in the field of molecular and cellular aspects of heart function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in molecular and cellular aspects of heart function, with a focus on fundamental mechanisms of cardiac function in health and disease.
  • Develop and lead research projects, securing funding and collaborating with colleagues to achieve research goals.
  • Teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to the development of our research community.
  • Contribute to academic leadership, participating in departmental and faculty meetings, and representing the university at national and international conferences.
