Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Work closely with our team, including interns, seasonal ecologists, and clients, to facilitate effective communication and project progress.
  • Survey Design and Management: Design and manage surveys, including habitat surveys and protected species surveys, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Quote and Report Production: Produce and review quotes and reports, including those for full members of CIEEM, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Essential Attributes:
  • Experience: Proven experience in habitat surveys (UK Habs/NVC) and protected species surveys, as well as survey design and industry best practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders, including clients, team members, and junior ecologists.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with experience in line managing and mentoring junior members of staff.
Desirable Attributes:
  • CIEEM Membership: CIEEM membership or eligibility.
  • Education: Degree or equivalent in an ecology-related discipline.
  • Networking and Business Development: Experience in generating new work and networking.
