We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our busy 60-bedded Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU).
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a critical care nurse, your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized, holistic patient care in conjunction with the inter-professional team
- Acting as a professional role model and clinical teacher
- Providing effective mentorship and preceptorship to nursing and non-nursing staff
- Taking charge of the Intensive Care Unit as required, liaising closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- NMC registration or completion of adaptation course
- Adult Critical Care Course Certificate
- Preparation for Mentorship Course
- Intravenous accreditation
Desirable criteria include:
- ALS certification/LEO/RCN Leadership Programme or equivalent
- Degree or working towards first degree
We are looking for an experienced critical care nurse with:
- Extensive critical care nursing experience or experience in a specialized unit
- Experience post adult critical care course
