Job Summary

The Workshop Controller is a key role within Frank Keane Volkswagen, responsible for overseeing the efficient workflow of the workshop. This includes ensuring the timely and effective completion of all repairs and services, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service in line with the company's brand values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technicians and manage workload distribution to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure the workshop operates in accordance with Volkswagen's health and safety standards and quality control processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Volkswagen technical bulletins, service manuals, and industry trends.
  • Report on workshop performance metrics, including technician efficiency, productivity, and job completion times.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts and monitor stock levels.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, ideally within a Volkswagen dealership or a similar automotive environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs, diagnostics, warranty processes, and maintenance, preferably with Volkswagen vehicles.
  • Proficiency in workshop management systems and relevant diagnostic tools.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends or additional hours during peak times.
