Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Basildon. The successful candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs and/or disabilities, and will be able to provide a patient and nurturing environment for our students.

The school is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students, and we are looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students across all Key Stages with diagnoses of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. They will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans, and will provide support and guidance to students as needed.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident, and able to take control of situations. The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
  • Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
  • Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
