Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for electronic braking systems and other mechatronics, electro-pneumatic, and electrical smart systems.
  • Collaborate closely with electronics, mechatronics, mechanical, and functional safety teams to define system requirements and functionality.
  • Develop and implement custom control logic and algorithms to achieve precise control and optimize performance optimization.
  • Utilize simulation tools to create mathematical models for real-time testing and validation of control strategies, tuning parameters, and safety measures.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience designing and programming control systems for mechatronics, electro-pneumatic, and electrical systems, including motors and linear actuators, with a strong foundation in custom control logic and algorithms.
  • Experience designing and developing Braking controls software (EBS, ABS, ASR/TCS/DTC, ESC/ESP).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C, C++, and Python.
  • Vehicles Dynamics Plant Modelling: Skilled in using SimScape, TruckSim, and TruckMaker.
  • Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
