Job Overview:

We're seeking an exceptional individual to join our team at The Hero, a vibrant four-storey pub in the heart of Maida Vale. As our ideal candidate, you'll be the first point of contact for guests, locals, and regulars alike, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve recognizing our loyal patrons, assisting management with outdoor upkeep, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming Guests: Greet guests with a warm smile, ensure they feel valued, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Recognizing Locals: Build rapport with regulars, making personal connections to enhance their experience and foster a sense of community.
  • Outdoor Management: Collaborate with management to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the outdoor area and seating, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for all guests.
  • Crowd Management: Work with security staff to manage crowd flow and access to the pub, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • Creating Energy: Engage with guests, promote a sense of community, and help foster a lively and inviting environment.
  • Communication: Relay guest feedback or concerns to management to ensure continuous improvement in service and atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Regular Customer Recognition: Ability to recognize and remember regular customers.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
  • Crowd Management: Basic understanding of crowd management practices; SIA training is beneficial but not required.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
