About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgery Associate to join our team at Optical Express Group in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-operative Testing and Patient Care: Conduct pre-operative testing, instruct patients, update medical records, and schedule follow-up appointments with precision and professionalism.
  • Assisting Surgeons: Assist surgeons during consent appointments and treatments, acting as a scrub assistant when required.
  • Theatre Support: Provide support to the surgical team and patients during surgery and associated tasks, ensuring seamless and safe operations.
  • Patient Safety and Quality Management: Report any untoward incidents, actively participate in patient safety issues, and contribute to quality management initiatives.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Excellent Communication: Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Technical Knowledge: Have the ability to absorb and convey technical information accurately and confidently.
  • Adaptability and Time Management: Demonstrate an adaptable approach to work, strong time management, and prioritization skills to meet the demands of this role.
  • Professionalism and Integrity: Exemplify a confident and professional demeanor, with organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and discretion.
