Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Experienced Retail Butcher to join our team at Meatex Trading Ltd.

This role involves preparing high-quality meats for sale in our farm shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, butchery techniques, and knowledge of various cuts of meat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meat Preparation: Prepare cuts of meat according to customer specifications
  • Quality Control: Ensure meat products are trimmed, cut, and packaged correctly
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the butchery area
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Butcher or similar role within a kitchen or restaurant environment
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of various butchery techniques and cuts of meat
  • Food Safety: Understanding of food safety practices and regulations

Salary: Approximately £18.00 per hour, based on industry standards for a skilled butcher.

Working Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, including weekend work.
