About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to take on the role of Deputy Nursery Manager at our award-winning nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To cover for the Nursery Manager in their absence and ensure consistent, high-quality care and education across all age groups.
  • To assist in managing the nursery team and overseeing the weekly staff rota.
  • To support the delivery of a creative and engaging early years curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child.
  • To promote positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child's progress.
  • To assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and training to ensure a strong, dedicated team.
  • To ensure the nursery meets health, safety, and safeguarding standards, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership or team management experience within an Early Years setting.
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
  • Strong understanding of nursery administration, including staffing and rota management.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and early childhood education standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.
