Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist

Job Summary:

The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a Configuration Management system to ensure consistency between requirements, technical information, and realised products. The role will involve establishing and maintaining a programme-level CM system, providing capability planning, budgeting, and scheduling, and ensuring the deployment and maintenance of the CM system within various workstreams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain a programme-level CM system, including strategy, policy, plan, procedures, standards, organisation, people, processes, and tools.
  2. Provide capability planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet programme CM workload requirements.
  3. Accountable for the deployment and maintenance of the CM system within various workstreams.
  4. Ensure programme CM risks are identified and managed, and contribute to programme lessons learned.
  5. Build relationships with external businesses, contractors, and industry experts to enhance programme reputation and import solutions and best practice.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in Configuration Management, with a strong understanding of CM standards and processes.
  2. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of performing CM at the company/programme level in support of projects and in-service throughout the full product/system lifecycle.
  3. Experience of managing a dispersed and often indirect team of people to successfully achieve CM directive.
  4. Good understanding of local industry standards, licence conditions, and business operations.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience of managing a team of people to successfully achieve CM delivery milestones in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Worked within a highly regulated/licenced nuclear environment.
