About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our Information Rights and Governance team, you will play a vital role in supporting our compliance with data protection and privacy laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the full life cycle of DSAR requests, ensuring accurate and timely responses to data subjects.
  • Investigate and assess data incident reports, identifying and mitigating risks to personal data breaches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and review information, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and ICO guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of reporting and management information on casework and incident management, supporting insights and KPIs for the Privacy Dashboard.
About You

We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual with a strong working knowledge of data protection principles and applicable laws. You will have previous experience in a data protection or information rights role, with a proven track record of supporting compliance and best practice.

As a key member of our team, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
