Hours: 22:30-7:00 Sunday to Thursday

The Client:

We are partnering with a well-established clean food manufacturer based in Northampton. Our client has reached a stage of growth where they need an additional maintenance engineer on their night shift engineering team. If you have experience as a mechanical or electrical bias maintenance engineer looking for a new opportunity, this could be the role for you.

The Package:
  1. Salary between £52,000-£54,000 dependent on experience
  2. 31 days Annual leave (Inclusive of public holidays) – plus a salary sacrifice scheme to purchase up to 5 more days annual leave
  3. Pension Scheme – up to 5% contribution match
  4. Overtime sometimes available – offered time off in lieu or paid at 1.5x
  5. Ongoing commitment to training and development
  6. You will work as part of a team of 2, ensuring assistance is always available when needed
The Duties:
  1. Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on production machinery
  2. Carry out Pre Planned Maintenance to the on-site machinery
  3. Follow health and safety policies and procedures
  4. Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant
  5. Repair Conveyors & automated machinery in a timely manner
  6. Maintain an organised Tool & Storage Room with up-to-date inventory lists
  7. Evaluate cleanliness and organisation within your workspace to maintain a healthy working environment
The Requirements:
  1. Previous experience as a maintenance engineer in a FMCG, Food Manufacturing or Automated environment with a mechanical or electrical bias (essential)
  2. Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Fault Finding, Repair and Maintenance experience (Relays, Sensors, Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyors, Pneumatic systems) - essential
  3. Knowledge/Experience of electrical systems (PLC's, Control Panels and testing) is advantageous
  4. Able to work alone & as part of a team
  5. Hold relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds 1-3, NVQ 1-3, 17th or 18th Wiring Regulations)
  6. Willing to learn and collaborate with engineers to share knowledge
