Job Overview

Morson Talent is currently recruiting for a Project Planning Specialist to join a successful team in Somerset. This exciting opportunity focuses on the defueling and decommissioning of AGR nuclear power stations, offering dynamic and hybrid working options.

About the Role

This site-based position involves working directly with Project Managers to develop and manage project schedules. As a key member of the Project Controls team, you will be responsible for ensuring each project meets key milestones through effective scheduling, risk management, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and track project schedules across the portfolio
  • Build cost and resource-loaded baseline plans aligned with project goals
  • Capture and oversee project budgets and resources to ensure precise cost forecasts
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures and Project Control frameworks to align with project scope
  • Maintain project baselines while evaluating schedule and cost variations
  • Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to optimize project performance
  • Collaborate with project control teams to synchronize financials with project schedules
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Skilled in Primavera P6
  • Experience in creating cost and resource-loaded plans
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Analysis
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
