Job Summary

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Substance Use Recovery Specialist to join our team at Via Westminster Drug Project. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with individuals experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health difficulties. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality care and support to help individuals achieve their recovery goals.

As a Substance Use Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of individuals, providing interventions at various stages of their recovery, and developing and delivering groups to support their needs. You will work in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs
  • Providing interventions and support to help individuals achieve their recovery goals
  • Developing and delivering groups to support individuals' needs
  • Working in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors, and other professionals

The Service

Our Adult Drug and Alcohol Services across Gloucestershire have transferred to Via Westminster Drug Project, providing a great opportunity to build on existing service strengths and drive new developments. As a Substance Use Recovery Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team working to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and communities.

Location

This is a county-wide role, with your base predominantly at the Rikanel Centre in Gloucester. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals and teams across the county, making a real difference in the lives of those you support.
