About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Show Control Systems Designer to join our team at JP SHOWSYSTEMS. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing show control systems that integrate audio, video, lighting, and special effects to create immersive experiences in theme parks, museums, entertainment venues, and high-end corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and program show control systems that meet project specifications and deliver high-quality, seamless control systems that bring our clients' creative visions to life.
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams and engineers to develop and implement technically advanced systems, from concept through to installation and commissioning.
  • Provide expert programming and technical support on-site, ensuring systems are installed, commissioned, and functioning as intended.
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the broader project team, enabling the timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Solve complex technical problems efficiently and keep projects on track.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (such as engineering, computer science, or technical theatre) or 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in show control programming or AV systems integration.
  • Proficient in programming control platforms such as Alcorn McBride, Medialon, QSC QSYS, or Crestron.
  • Solid understanding of audio, video, lighting, and network systems.
  • Strong practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and clients.
  • Flexibility to travel globally and work in various environments, including construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Q-SYS certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Medialon Certified Programmer.
  • Experience in PLC programming and creating user interfaces (HMI).
  • Knowledge of IoT, networking, and system integration.
  • Background in large-scale permanent installations or entertainment projects.
