JP SHOWSYSTEMS is seeking a highly skilled Show Control Design/Programming Specialist to play a pivotal role in our innovative projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and programming show control systems that integrate audio, video, lighting, and special effects to create immersive experiences in theme parks, museums, entertainment venues, and high-end corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and program show control systems that meet project specifications
  • Provide expert programming and technical support on-site, ensuring systems are installed, commissioned, and functioning as intended
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with the broader project team, enabling the timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Solve complex technical problems efficiently and keep projects on track
  • Design, program, and implement show control systems for entertainment, attraction, and corporate projects, ensuring integration with audio, video, lighting, and special effects systems
  • Collaborate with creative teams, engineers, and project managers to translate design concepts into functioning, user-friendly control systems
  • Commission systems on-site globally, verifying their operation and ensuring they meet the client's specifications and project goals
  • Provide detailed system documentation, including drawings, manuals, and as-built updates to ensure clear communication with installation teams and clients
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and live event phases, providing prompt solutions
  • Travel globally to client sites for system testing, commissioning, and training, as needed
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field (such as engineering, computer science, or technical theatre) or 3+ years of industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in show control programming or AV systems integration
  • Proficient in programming control platforms such as Alcorn McBride, Medialon, QSC QSYS, or Crestron
  • Solid understanding of audio, video, lighting, and network systems
  • Flexibility to travel globally and work in various environments, including construction sites
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in PLC programming and creating user interfaces (HMI)
  • Knowledge of IoT, networking, and system integration
  • Background in large-scale permanent installations or entertainment projects
