Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Childcare Worker to assist our residential care team in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise residential childcare staff, providing direction, support, and mentoring to ensure the highest quality of care for our young people.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each young person.
- Coordinate and participate in the day-to-day activities of the residential home, including mealtimes, recreational activities, and bedtime routines.
- Act as a key point of contact for young people and their families.
- Monitor and assess the progress and well-being of the young people, documenting observations and reporting any concerns to appropriate authorities.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or NVQ equivalent.
- 2 years residential experience.
- A big heart and passion to make a difference to the residents' lives.
- Patience, resilience, and calmness.
