Teaching Careers in HMC Independent Schools

The HMC (Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference) is seeking an experienced Sports Coach to support the Games department during Lent term. This role involves coaching sport, promoting the general progress and well-being of individual pupils, and actively supporting those studying towards GCSE and A-Level PE.

Candidates should have a high level of experience in playing Netball, as well as coaching, preferably at County level. Self-motivation and the ability to work well in a busy team environment are essential.

This is a part-time role with an expected 17 hours of work per week during Lent term, plus match days. The successful candidate will be required to take part in the Senior School and Prep School games programme and support the organising and attending of Saturday fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coaching Netball to pupils of various skill levels
  2. Developing and implementing training plans to improve team performance
  3. Supporting pupils in their studies towards GCSE and A-Level PE
  4. Participating in the Senior School and Prep School games programme
  5. Supporting the organisation and attendance of Saturday fixtures
