Job Description

As a Procurement Lead, you will play a key role in delivering best-in-class global procurement for all categories of subcontract, strategic materials, bulk materials, and leveraging spend.

You will work primarily in a role focused on the fit-out of specific buildings and contribute to the successful delivery of the HPC project.

Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £4 billion.

Bylor is pushing the boundaries of innovation and modern technology while delivering high-quality construction on a massive scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Subcontract procurement, including identifying potential supply chains, conducting tender processes, analyzing bids, negotiating subcontracts, and reviewing compliance.
  • Market analysis to understand the supply market for specific works packages, identify vendors, and use this information to support procurement activities.
  • Selecting suppliers who are technically competent, financially stable, well-organized, capacity-conscious, innovative, service-centric, and willing to offer a high level of value to Bylor.
Requirements
  • Experience in letting procurement packages in a live project environment as a Procurement Manager, Buyer, or Quantity Surveyor.
  • Experience in commercial building fit-out works.
  • Knowledge of vendor selection, profiling, and prequalification.
  • Experience in tender process enquiry drafting, tender process management, bid analysis, and contractual negotiation.
  • Microsoft Office and general IT proficiency.
  • Specifications and other technical and quality deliverables.
  • Compliance with mandatory project processes and procedures.
  • Contractual compliance.
  • Regulatory compliance.

The estimated salary for this position is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes, and annual holiday allowance.
